Slurry management is a vital part of modern farming, but investing in new slurry handling technology can be costly. The UK government’s Farming Equipment and Technology Fund 2025 (FETF25) includes a dedicated slurry grant scheme to help farmers and slurry contractors upgrade their equipment. This grant aims to improve how farms collect, store, test, and spread slurry, leading to better environmental outcomes and more efficient nutrient use.
As long as you are registered with the Rural Payments Agency (RPA), the FETF25 grant can help you with up to 50% of funding towards approved slurry equipment across the 17 items listed in the grant application. You’ll have to be quick, though, as the application window opens on the 29th of May and will close at midday on the 10th of July 2025. While the range of equipment covers everything from low-emission spreaders to slurry separators, the grant encourages applicants to choose equipment that maximises nutrient containment and reduces waste.
